Shadow Box Art

Click on over and show some love to Be Different Act Normal where Lorie is featuring my Lace Halloween Wreath, Eat Drink and Be Scary printable, and Keep Calm and Scary On printable today! Then click-ety clack your cute little fingers right onto This Crazy Life and  Yesterday on Tuesday for both printables and I Heart Naptime for the wreath! So much cute stuff to be seen at these sites!

So who didn't love their honeymoon? Some of my happiest, giddiest, and most carefree memories are from my honeymoon. I had never been more in love. I had never felt so valued, so cherished, so lucky. I wanted a daily reminder of that. A visual tribute to when 'we' began.

I gathered a shadowbox, some textured white cardstock, 8 round unfinished wooden discs, 8 photographs, and some stickers and rhinestones. I carefully chose the pictures to best express beautiful Puerto Vallarta, the amazing resort we stayed in, and the love, joy, and excitement we were feeling.

I adhered the photos to the wooden discs and sanded down the edges so they were perfectly flush with them.

Add a pinch of glitter and bling and it was just right!

Simple and happy. It hangs right where we eat. :)

  1. that is sooo cute! Love the circled pictures :) I wanted to let you know that I recently started a “Handmade Tuesdays” on Ladybug Blessings. I am featuring a tutorial (let me know if you ever want to be featured) and then am also going to have a linky at the bottom where people can link up previous tutorials they did. It can be from any time but the only rule is it cannot be linked up again. I am also going to be randomly featuring etsy shops as well because not everyone can make things! So please link up on Tuesday!

  2. Very nice! What kind of adhesive did you use for the photo's on the discs?

  3. It's called the Embellishment Glue Stick by Pioneer. It's super-strong and much better than you'd ever imagine a glue-stick to be. It is my favorite EVER for adhering scrapbook paper to wood or chipboard. :)

  15. How did you make the letters portion? So perfect and neat. Want to make this as a Christmas gift for my son/wife from their 10tyh anniversary renewal, Hawaii vacation. Think it will knock their socks off. And where did you get the discs? Is there a clue in that long, tiny lisst of websites?

  16. The 'Honey' letters are chipboard stickers ('Thickers' brand) and the 'moon' letters are just regular stickers. I got the wooden discs at a craft store. And no clues in the long tiny list of websites- LOL- it's a list of blogs that host link parties where I linked up the project so that people could see it. :)
